Teams get real faces on the site. Photos show up in matchups, standings, and Discord share cards, and bigger leagues can share home parks. TEAM PHOTOS • Managers and commissioners can upload a season team photo from the team page (settings). It is separate from your profile picture, and rollover does not copy it into the next season. • Crop before you save: drag and zoom so the logo sits where you want it. Profile pictures use the same cropper now. • Team photos show up across season hub, schedule, scoreboard, playoff series, standings, and game report heroes. • Discord / paste previews for games, series, and team pages can show the logos too. STADIUM POOL • Leagues bigger than six teams can put multiple copies of the same park in the stadium pool. Duplicate home fields are allowed (up to 16 copies per park). • “Fill to team count” adds copies until every team has a home stadium available. • Stadium draft and manual assignment respect remaining copies, not just “on or off.” BROWSER AUTO-UPLOAD HELP • On Windows and macOS, Chrome blocks the default Rio folder under AppData / Library, so background watch cannot see games there. • Account upload now explains Project Rio portable mode (portable.txt beside the program, or a custom user path) so StatFiles live somewhere the browser can grant. Linux is usually fine already. • One-shot folder sync and lifetime StatFiles upload are still there if you do not want to move Rio’s folder. ALSO THIS BUILD • “Inky covers this league” sits on the season news desk for subscribed commissioners. • Matchup presentation got a pass so logos and scores read cleaner on game and series pages. STILL ROUGH / NEXT • Community guidelines and in-app reporting for public photos are next, not a beta gate. Keep uploads league-friendly for now. • Out-of-beta testing is still tournament, salary draft, waivers, and trades. • Browser watch is better documented, but portable setup is still a real step. Send feedback if it fights you. Thanks for the patience while logos and parks caught up to the rest of the league tools.
INKY • Subscribe at /inky for $7 a month per commissioner. Stripe checkout, renew, and cancel from your account. • Donations on Support do not unlock Inky. Those are separate on purpose. • Once subscribed, turn on “Inky covers this league” from the season news desk or Newsroom settings. Subscribe prompts show up where you hit the paywall. • Flavor settings: humor, article length, and whether storylines carry between articles. • Coverage includes game recaps (stats upload, score-only, or forfeit), series and playoff pieces, season preview / wrap, and trade reports. • Writing indicator while a draft is in progress, plus more varied openings. • Auto-draft has an hourly cap per league so a backlog catch-up cannot explode into a huge bill. Manual generate stays uncapped. • Nicknames Inky coins can be viewed, set, or retired in Newsroom settings. • Give Inky feedback on articles: thumbs up/down, tags (wrong facts, repetitive, too jokey, too dry, length, off voice), and an optional comment. Please use it when something is off. • Lineup editing is manager-only on the team page. • Lifetime StatFiles folder upload (with batching) is still there for catch-up. Report what breaks on the new watch path. DRAFT, WAIVERS, AND ROLLOVER • Smarter mock draft at /mock-draft (CPU seats, ratings/chemistry picks, friend seats). Still run a full practice before you trust it. • Waiver wire season settings and claim board are in. A real mid-season claim cycle still has to be tested. • Rollover can copy last season pool and rosters. Rollover has been confirmed working in a real season. • Cleared game results no longer leave a schedule slot unusable. • Earlier this stretch: draft room open/close and check-in, synced lottery reveal, auction polish (clock, undo, uncontested picks), stadium phase after player drafts, and unified live boards across formats. ALSO SHIPPED THIS STRETCH • Friendly / personal game pages open from public profiles and show league-style fielding detail. • Username lookup is case-insensitive for grants, members, managers, and profile URLs (login stays case-exact on purpose). • Newsroom editor no longer traps you after a failed save. • Discord share images / richer paste previews on more pages. • Tournament / best-of modes, computer games for leagues, team lineup builder, and chemistry chart fix from earlier notes are still in. STILL ROUGH / NEXT • Live draft rooms, salary draft, mock draft smoke, and waiver mid-season claims still need real testing before out of beta. • Inky subscription is live but early. Use article feedback when facts or voice are wrong. • Browser auto-upload is new. Keep Send feedback handy. Thanks for playing through a big build. Inky feedback and draft/waiver bug reports help the most right now.
Here is where Dugout Superstars is headed. Core league tools stay free. The deeper extras (especially Inky) sit in the subscriber lane when that ships. RIGHT NOW • Out-of-beta gate: keep stress-testing live drafting and the new formats (linear, random, auction, salary draft, plus draft-when-you-play). Auction got a big polish pass (clock, undo, uncontested picks, stadium phase). Real rooms still decide if we are done. • Season rollover and tournament mode are in and looking good. Still tell us if something breaks. • Auto-upload (Dugout Link) stays admin-only until we graduate it. Lifetime folder upload of Rio StatFiles is the everyday path for catching up career stats. RECENTLY LANDED • Auction draft polish: snake nominations, linear bids, turn clock, commissioner undo/cancel, uncontested Pick character, sturdier board after bids. • Unified live draft UX across snake, auction, salary, stadium, and mock; safer concurrent picks. • Stadium draft phase can follow any player draft format when stadiums are set to draft. • Draft room open / close, manager check-in, season-hub draft banner, synced lottery reveal, and lobby sync polish. • Auction draft lot tracking hardened. • Lifetime StatFiles folder upload with automatic batching for large folders. • Quit-game confirms and crash-file blocks for league attribution. • Discord share images for games, careers, and series, plus richer paste previews on league, season, team, standings, and news pages. • Standings Manager column. • Season rollover, season modes (standard / tournament), best-of series. • More draft formats and draft order options, plus a mock draft page. • Forfeit display fixes and clearer scoreboard W/L tint. • Manager career polish and earlier Discord link previews. • Cleaner commissioner home, setup resume, live stream links on games. • Modern site theme, Explore nav, dashboard refresh, score ticker, profile pictures. • Team page lineup builder, game-page fielding detail, chemistry chart fix, easier stat sorting. • Computer / offline games for leagues (never in human lifetime stats). NEXT BIG BUILDS (in order) 1. Harden drafting → out of beta Finish real draft-night testing on the new room tools and formats. Fix what breaks. When that is solid, we call the core product out of beta. 2. Auto-upload for everyone Dugout Link watches your Rio stats folder (admin testing only today). Folder upload already helps lifetime catch-up. Next we want simple auto-upload setup for managers, and later a smoother Project Rio import path if that opens up. 3. Discord polish Share cards and paste previews got much better. Webhook polish is next: easy test posts, clearer setup, more reliable game reports and big moments in your server. 4. Inky as the real subscription When a commissioner is subscribed, Inky can write for that league. We want tone settings, memory across whole league history, and articles for the big beats: draft preview and recap, trades, playoff preview, series recaps, and a season wrap. Inky can already draft in leagues that turn it on; the paid gate and deeper memory are still ahead. 5. Deeper team and analytics extras Richer chemistry lab toys, lineup / outfield recommenders, and the Events parser that unlocks better swing / advanced stats later. STRETCH IDEAS WE LIKE Caster / live hub views, weekly pick'em, public standings embeds, Discord slash commands, awards ceremony pages, and hype-moment timestamps when a VOD is attached. These are wants, not promises with dates, and they are not required for out of beta. WHAT WE WILL NOT DO We will not lock basic league features behind a paywall. Schedules, drafts, uploads, standings, and playoffs stay available to everyone.
